I published my review of The Woman King - which wa I published my review of The Woman King - which was originally supposed to run on @mic but they laid off all of their editorial staff - to my Substack. I hope some of you take the time to read a very nuanced critique of the film and story which has been the center of heavy debate. It's a thorough analysis of the film's competing masters of entertainment and history. Shared a brief snippet above but I get into much richer detail in the critique.
